Terms of Use

Effective date: October 6, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Neurojournal ("we", "us") about your use of Neurojournal — the website at neurojournal.app, the course and the practice journal (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

We may change these terms. If a change matters, we will say so on the site before it takes effect.

2. What the Service is — and what it is not

Neurojournal is education: a self-guided course in a drawing technique, with lessons you read and a private journal where you keep what you drew.

It is not health care. It is not therapy, diagnosis or treatment, it does not replace any of them, and nothing in it is medical, psychological or clinical advice. We make no claims about outcomes. If you are unwell, or if drawing brings up something difficult, speak to a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency service.

The course describes a technique developed by others. We teach an approach to drawing; we do not claim affiliation with, certification by, or endorsement from any organisation associated with it, and we do not use anyone else's trade mark as the name of this product.

3. Your account

You need an account to keep a journal and to mark the lessons you have finished. You are responsible for what happens under it: use an address you control, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has got in.

You must be 18 or older to create an account, and by creating one you confirm that you are.

One account is for one person. Sharing it, or sharing your sign-in with somebody else, is not permitted.

4. What you may do with the content

The lessons, texts, illustrations and the design of the Service belong to us or to our licensors. While your account is in good standing we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to read and use them for your own practice.

You may not copy, republish, sell, licence or redistribute the lessons; use them to train a machine learning model; scrape or bulk-download the Service; or remove notices of ownership. Drawing in your own notebook from what a lesson teaches is, of course, the entire point — that is use, not copying.

5. What you put in — your drawings and notes

Your journal is yours. The photos you upload and the notes you write remain your content and your property. We do not publish them, sell them, or show them to other readers.

You grant us only the narrow permission we need to run the Service: to store your content, and to show it back to you. That permission ends when you delete the content or the account.

You are responsible for what you upload: that it is yours to upload, and that it does not break the law or anyone's rights.

6. Payment

There is no way to pay on the Service today, and nothing on it can charge you. Before any paid plan is offered, these terms will be updated with its price, billing period, renewal, cancellation and refunds, and the update will be shown on the site before it takes effect. We will never see or store your card details; a payment provider will handle them.

7. Ending it

You can stop at any time by deleting your account. Deleting is permanent — the journal entries and the photographs of your drawings go with it, and cannot be recovered afterwards.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used to attack or abuse the Service, or is used by somebody who is not permitted to have one. Where it is fair to do so we will say why first.

8. Messages we send

We send messages the account needs: confirming your address and resetting your password. If we ever add news or marketing, it will be something you opt into and can leave at any time from the message itself.

9. Availability

We try to keep the Service running, and we do not promise that it always will be. We may change it, or stop offering part of it.

10. No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will produce any particular result for you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Service in breach of these terms or of the law.

13. Local law

You are responsible for complying with the law where you are. We may restrict the Service in places where we cannot lawfully offer it.

14. Privacy

How we handle your information is in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

15. Contact
